Judicial System under Maratha State: – During the period of Maratha State under the rule of early Kings (Chhatrapati Shivaji, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji) Role of King, remain dominant and above shown hierarchy work effectively on the bureaucratic line. Along with the State’s judicial machinery, popular institutions delivering justice also prevailed in this period like Gota Sabha and Dharma Sabha.
