Maratha Cavalry

In Maratha Cavalry there were two types of horsemen i.e., Bargir and Shiledar, to Bargir horse and other equipment were supplied by State and Shiledar used to bring their own horse. Hawaldar used to be in charge of 25 horseman and water carrier, Jumladar was in charge of 5 Hawaldar i.e., 125 Bargir (125 horseman) and Majumdar for assistance, Hazari was in charge of 10 Jumladars i.e., 1250 Bargir (1250 Horseman) and Majumdar, Karbhari (Manager), Jamanavis (revenue writer).
